This is a great show.

Very s l o w ... I guess the Dead are "slow music," aren't they (like slow food)?

Someone tell me if I was imagining 1) "He Was a Friend of Mine" tease at the beginning of Peggy-O and 2) "Eleanor Rigby" tease during Space?
(It all rolls into one ...)

What's slow food? Marconi and cheese? Thanksgiving dinner? Dinner at the French Laundry? Insects?

And thank God for a break from June '85 today!

I have been to a place claiming to be "slow food". I guess it's supposed to be opposite of fast food in every way. you put in your order, and they make it fresh to order, when it's ready, they bring it, but don't make plans for later or be in a hurry, just enjoy the food when it's ready, and feel free to stick around after you're done. Maybe healthier food to eat, and healthier to not rush digestion. I don't know, maybe they're just lazy or not really good at getting prepared in advance for the business they hope to do for the rush. I kind of agree, after all, what's not to like, as long as it is good? And maybe worth coming back for if it's really really really good. Over and over again, like the habit I have for listening to Grateful Dead...

Or you could be waiting for those scorpions to char up a bit more. Slowly swirling the tiny amount of brown and brackish 'water' you have left. :-)

I'd love to tell you what you want to hear... or put in another way. Seek and you shall find. Well, to put THAT in another way, as told by a trancendental hindu guru... That which you seek is that which you shall find. For if you are truly seeking something, you shall find exactly that. Well, just kidding around, it happens to be that I've been listening to the 28th today and was planning to carry on to the 29th, but haven't gotten there as of yet. So I could just tell you what I have found later, if I find it. But I might just find my bed before that happens. One thing for sure, I love June 1976 shows, and July too. And I'd like to add, I also love the 1985 summer tour, too and have been trying to give a listen - here and there, so I can hear what they're doing with their guitars.
